Cultivating a restorative practice helps us to re-train the mind and body to rest deeply. Experience how to move out of the sympathetic nervous system of flight, fight and freeze, to recalibrate and bring back in to balance our natural state of the parasympathetic nervous system, where we can rest, digest, and heal. It is in this quiet state that we are not only able to better digest our food, our work, and our relationships but also our reactions and interactions with our internal and external world. In turn, we deepen our ability to reflect and create conscious changes.
